1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS/RS
This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro convertible was modified prior to the current owner’s 2024 acquisition with the installation of a Ram Jet V8 that was stroked to displace 383ci and is backed by a six-speed manual transmission. Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, coilover suspension, and 20″ Vision wheels are also fitted. The body was refinished in white and fitted with a carbon-fiber hood, rear decklid, rear spoiler, and mirror caps as well as a power-operated black soft top, a hood-mounted tachometer, and SS badging. Inside, black upholstery covers the front bucket seats and center console, and other details include air conditioning, power windows, and an Alpine head unit linked to under-seat subwoofers and Memphis Audio speakers.
The body has been refinished in white with a silver center stripe, and a carbon-fiber hood, rear decklid, rear spoiler, and mirror caps have been fitted. The hood also features a transparent engine panel and hood pins. Additional details include a power-operated black soft top, a front spoiler, and SS badging.
Vision 20″ Legend Series staggered-width wheels are mounted with 245/35 front and 275/30 rear Delinte Thunder D7 tires. The car is equipped with power steering and coilover suspension, and braking is handled by Wilwood calipers over cross-drilled and slotted discs.
The front bucket seats are upholstered in black and separated by a center storage console with cupholders. Power windows and air conditioning are installed, and an Alpine head unit is linked to Memphis Audio rear speakers and subwoofers mounted under the seats.
The instrument cluster features carbon-fiber-look trim and houses a 120-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer with an inset analog clock. An additional tachometer is mounted atop the hood. The five-digit odometer shows 31k miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership.
The selling dealer reports that the Ram Jet V8 has been modified to displace 383ci and installed in 2018.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission.
