1969 Pontiac LeMans Convertible - SOLD

“This is the way fun is going to be.” Pontiac advertised the LeMans as an economical alternative to its costlier sibling, the GTO. Pontiac discovered selling GTOs laden with options was more profitable, but that also priced America’s first muscle car out of reach of many potential buyers. The LeMans became the spiritual successor to the original 1964 GTO—simple, basic fun, especially when powered by the optional “J30” 350 cu-in V8, generating 265 horsepower.

This LeMans Convertible has had just two owners from new, the current caretaker admiring this car owned by his older neighbor for years until acquiring it awhile back. It’s optioned with the 350 cu-in V8 and the three-speed Turbo-Hydromatic automatic transmission. The LeMans was fully restored some years ago in Midnight Green Metallic paint, with optional black vinyl bucket seat interior. Other factory options include AM radio, 8-Track player, and a rear speaker. Take in the Sixties vibe, pop “The Best of the Grateful Dead” into the factory 8-Track… the golden road awaits.
