2016 Mercedes Benz G63 AMG - SOLD — Deeb Spec

The “form follows function” exterior styling of the Mercedes G-Class is as apparent today as when it was introduced in the 1970s. Following the lead of Land Rover, Mercedes began targeting upscale buyers by offering an extensively upgraded G-Wagen for 1990, featuring leather upholstery and wood trim for the first time in the model’s history. These refined touches foreshadowed the various upgrades to come in the following decades as the truck became increasingly luxurious and powerful. The largest leap in the G-Wagen’s luxury transformation was the introduction of an AMG model for the US market in 2002 — the G55. The bespoke supercharged V8 was a perfect match to the newly overhauled luxurious interior. As sales for the offroader continued to increase, so did the G-Wagen’s performance and luxury.

This 2016 G63 comes optioned with the incredibly rare Solarbeam Yellow, a color made famous by AMG’s Black Division. This metallic two-stage yellow was available exclusively on Black Series models until 2016 when the G63 offered an optional “AMG Performance Studio Package”. This exclusive package cost $20,000 new, it allowed for many options not available on the standard G63, including; carbon interior pieces only found on the Black Series models, an exclusive Designo Black leather interior and, a performance tune, increasing the horsepower from 525 to 557.
