2000 TOYOTA SUPRA RZ-S KRC WIDEBODY

This 2000 Toyota Supra RZ-S is a Japanese-market hardtop example that was used as a widebody kit development vehicle by KRC Japan. It returned to Japan for a repaint in orange after it was brought to the 2018 SEMA convention in Las Vegas, and it was imported to the US following the current owner’s acquisition in 2026. The exterior features a KRC eight-piece widebody kit and a KRC carbon-fiber rear wing, and the car rides on 326POWER coilovers and three-piece 19″ Superplus wheels over a 326POWER brake kit. Power comes from a 3.0L 2JZ-GTE inline-six that has been modified with a single Comp turbo, an AEM Infinity ECU, and a front-mount intercooler, and shifting is through a six-speed manual transmission. The cabin contains a red roll cage, a MOMO steering wheel, a Pioneer Carrozzeria head unit, rear seat delete panels, and Recaro front seats trimmed in red and black upholstery. Work since July 2026 included mounting Michelin tires and replacing the battery, fuel lines, and tie rod ends.

The car was refinished in orange circa 2019 following the installation of the KRC fiberglass widebody kit, which incorporates a revised front bumper cover, a vented hood with latches, a front spoiler, side skirts, wheel arch flares, a rear spoiler, and a rear diffuser. A KRC carbon-fiber wing with aluminum uprights, tension cables, and black end plates is fitted out back, and APR carbon-fiber mirrors are mounted at both sides. Work in 2026 included replacing the headlights and taillights as well as the wing cables, installing LED front turn signal bulbs, touching up paint on the front bumper cover, performing a paint correction, and applying a ceramic coating to the body.

The 19″ Superplus FSR three-piece wheels were mounted with 275/35 front and 345/30 rear Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires in 2026. The car rides on 326POWER Chakuriki coilovers, and braking is provided by a 326POWER Gachi Stop brake kit with gold-finished calipers over drilled and slotted rotors at all four corners. The brake fluid was flushed and the steering rack boots and tie rod ends were replaced in July 2026.

A red roll cage spans the right-hand-drive cabin, which houses Recaro Super Stark bucket seats upholstered in black cloth with red and black microsuede bolsters. The rear seat and side panels have been removed, and HKS floor mats were fitted in 2026 along with fabricated door switch stoppers. Automatic climate control and a Pioneer Carrozzeria head unit with navigation are additional elements.

The three-spoke MOMO Drifting steering wheel sits ahead of a GReddy PRofec-B electronic boost controller, a 180-km/h speedometer, a tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, and boost pressure. A Comtec Zero 701V radar detector is mounted atop the dashboard. The six-digit odometer shows 81k kilometers (~50k miles).

The 3.0L 2JZ-GTE inline-six has been modified with a single Comp CT3 ball-bearing turbocharger with a titanium blanket and an inlet screen as well as an AEM Infinity ECU, a front-mount intercooler, a Koyorad aluminum radiator, an oil catch can, and a TiAL wastegate. The fuel system utilizes a Radium Engineering rail, 1,050cc Injector Dynamics injectors, and a surge tank. The carbon-fiber trim in the engine bay was replaced in July 2026. Additional work at that time included installing an aluminum coolant expansion tank, changing the oil, and replacing the battery and fuel lines.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Getrag V161 six-speed manual transmission, which received a fluid change along with the rear differential in July 2026. Exhaust gasses flow through a tubular header and a heat-wrapped custom exhaust system without a catalytic converter, and a replacement rear section was welded in August 2026.

The car was featured in a June 2019 issue of Stance magazine and featured in Forza Horizion 5.
