1962 Ford Fairlane 500 Club Sedan
This 1962 Ford Fairlane 500 Club sedan was modified under previous ownership with the installation of a 302ci Ford Racing V8 crate engine, a Tremec five-speed manual transmissPreviously refinished in blue metallic with a gold roof and a silver beltline stripe, the car was equipped with Holley vintage-style LED headlights and hood springs under current ownership. The paintwork is complemented by chrome-finished bumpers and a bullet-style driver-side mirror. A “Dan Gurney for President” bumper sticker adorns the rear bumper.ion, a 22-gallon fuel cell, and a welded 10-point roll cage. The current owner acquired the car on BaT in February 2025 after it was previously sold in December 2021. Work since 2025 has involved adding Ridetech shocks, replacing the oil pan, headlights, and windshield trim surround, and refreshing the dual exhaust system by replacing the cutouts and MagnaFlow mufflers. Finished in blue with a gold roof, the car has a stripped interior with Recaro Pole Position seats, Safecraft harnesses, a quick-release steering wheel, and Stewart-Warner gauges. It also features a Currie 9″ limited-slip differential, a Holley carburetor, MSD ignition, GT40 aluminum cylinder heads, forged pistons and rods, 15″ American Racing wheels, and front disc brakes.

Adjustable Ridetech shocks and replacement front suspension bushings were installed following the owner’s acquisition. The car rides on American Racing 15″ wheels mounted with Avon tires, and additional equipment includes a 1965 Ford Fairlane steering box, a 1″ front sway bar, four-piston front disc brakes, and 11″ rear drums.
The stripped interior is equipped with a 10-point roll cage and a pair of Recaro Pole Position bucket seats that are trimmed in black and fitted with Safecraft five-point harnesses. A replacement, period-style day/night rearview mirror was added under current ownership, and other details include a fire-suppression system, an ignition cut-off switch, and a floor-mounted Hurst shifter.
The 302ci V8 Ford Racing crate engine was installed circa 2018, and it is reportedly equipped with the following components:

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec T-5 five-speed manual transmission and a Currie 9″ rear end with a Detroit Truetrac 3.75:1 limited-slip differential. Following the current owner’s acquisition, the cutouts for the stainless-steel exhaust system were modified, and a previously installed transmission cooler was removed.
