1967 Porsche 356B Roadster - SOLD
This 1961 Porsche 356B Roadster was built on December 15, 1960 and refurbished in the early 1990s, at which time it was repainted in Champagne Yellow. The car is powered by a replacement 1,720cc flat-four, which was rebuilt in 2023 and is paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes brown leather upholstery, a tan soft top, 15″ steel wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, body-color bumpers, and front bucket seats.
The T5 body was introduced for the 1960 model year with revised front-end styling, including raised bumpers and headlights along with a redesigned front trunk lid handle. This Drauz-built example was finished from the factory in Aetna Blue and was repainted Champagne Yellow in the early 1990s. Features include a tan soft top, a windshield washer system, a removable windshield frame, and body-color bumpers with chrome overriders. Euro headlamps and replacement front turn signal lenses were installed in 2021.
Chromed 15″ vented steel wheels wear hubcaps and are mounted with 195/65 Dunlop tires. Four-wheel 356C disc brakes have been installed, and the brake fluid was flushed in 2023.
The front bucket seats and rear jump seats have been reupholstered in brown leather, and beige squareweave carpets line the floors. Interior appointments include lap belts, a Bluetooth interface linked with a JL Audio amplifier, and a body-color painted dashboard. The shifter bushings were replaced in 2023.
The three-spoke steering wheel wears a brown leather lace-up cover and frames green-letter VDO instrumentation including a 120-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline as well as a combination gauge for oil temperature and fuel level.
The replacement flat-four was reportedly sourced from a 912 and rebuilt to displace 1,720cc in 2004. The engine was rebuilt again in 2023, while the dual Solex carburetors were overhauled in 2018. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. A stainless steel exhaust system with a Magnaflow muffler was installed in 2019.
