1988 Land Rover 110 Tophat Pickup Conversion
This 1988 Land Rover 110 was converted to a double-cab pickup by Tophat Classics, at which point it was refinished in Bronzed Grey Metallic and a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 was installed along with a six-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a locking center differential. It was previously sold on BaT in July 2025 and listed on BaT in October 2025 before being acquired by the seller later that same year. Under current ownership, 18″ Iconisus Icon 7 wheels, a KBX grille, LED headlights, and Lucari heated front bucket seats upholstered in black leather have been installed. Additional features include a lifted suspension, power steering, and Brembo front disc brakes as well as a canvas sunroof, a Warn winch, LED headlights, air conditioning, and an Alpine touchscreen head unit.
The truck was converted to a double-cab pickup configuration and painted Bronzed Grey Metallic with a black roof under previous ownership. Under current ownership, LED headlights and a KBX front grille headlight surrounds and vents were installed, and additional details include an aftermarket front bumper, a Warn Zeon 8-S winch, a canvas sunroof, tubular side steps, mudflaps, and an NAS-style rear bumper with a clevis pin hitch and a tow ball.
The pickup bed features a raised teak wood floor with a sliding storage drawer and a recess for the spare wheel.
Black-finished 18″ Iconisus Icon 7 wheels are mounted with Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires. The truck is equipped with a lifted suspension and power steering. Braking is handled by Brembo calipers over cross-drilled discs up front as well as cross-drilled and slotted rotors out back. Under current ownership, the front suspension and the steering gearbox and rack were rebuilt, and the power steering pump was replaced, per the seller.
A pair of black leather Lucari heated bucket seats with white piping and quilted accents were installed up front under current ownership, and the center console lid was trimmed to match. Microsuede material covers the dashboard, center console, and door panels, and appointments include air conditioning, an alarm system, an Alpine touchscreen head unit, aftermarket speakers, and power windows and locks. The rear bench seat has been removed.
The replacement leather-wrapped steering wheel sits ahead of a 200-km/h speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The replacement digital odometer indicates 13k kilometers (~8k miles), approximately 3k of which have been added under current ownership.
The 6.2-liter LS3 V8 wears Corvette-branded covers and was installed under previous ownership. The seller tells us that under current ownership, the throttle body and position sensor were replaced and the air conditioning was recharged.
Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels through a Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case with a locking center differential.
