1990 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Coupe 3.8L 5-Speed - SOLD

This 1990 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 coupe’s flat-six was modified with 3.8-liter Mahle pistons and cylinders, RS-specification camshafts, a Rasant individual throttle body injection system, and MoTeC M84 engine management under prior ownership. Finished in black, the car rides on 18″ BBS E88 wheels with JIC coilovers and Brembo “Big Red” calipers. The interior has been fitted with a pair of Recaro Pole Position seats, RS-style door panels, and red seatbelts. Additional equipment includes an M&K exhaust system with long-tube headers, heat exchangers, and a 997 GT3-style center exit muffler. This 964 C2 also sports a sunroof, a five-speed manual transaxle, a short shift kit, and a limited-slip differential.

The car is finished in black and features a ducktail rear spoiler with a mesh grille, a front tow hook, an electric sunroof, integrated fog lights, and heated and power-adjustable side mirrors. The rear bumper was repaired in 2021, and the seller notes that the left front fender has been repainted.

The 18″ BBS E88 wheels feature gold-finished centers and are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires measuring 225/40 up front and 255/35 out back. Braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs with ABS and Brembo “Big Red” calipers. JIC coilovers have been added.

Recaro Pole Position seats trimmed in black fabric have been installed, while the rear seats and air conditioning system have been removed. Red seatbelts, RS-style door panels, an aftermarket shifter, and a radio delete plate have also been added.

The leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation, including a central tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline as well as a 180-mph speedometer, a Quarz analog clock, and gauges for oil level, oil pressure, oil temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 61k miles.

The flat-six was rebuilt to displace 3.8L in 2011 by Rennsport of Sealy, Texas, at which time Mahle pistons and cylinders, an RS-specification clutch kit, and RS-specification camshafts were installed. The Rasant Products individual throttle body ignition system and supporting MoTeC M84 engine management system were installed in 2021, along with an M&K exhaust system that incorporates long-tube headers, heat exchangers, and a 997 GT3-style muffler.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle equipped with a short shift kit and a limited-slip differential.
