1991 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 - SOLD

This 1991 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 has been driven 25k miles, and equipment specific to the ZR-1 includes a 5.7-liter LT5 V8, the Selective Ride and Handling Package, 17″ sawblade alloy wheels, power-adjustable sport seats, automatic climate control, and a Delco Bose Gold Series sound system. Finished in Bright Red over red leather, the car is further appointed with a ZF six-speed manual transmission, custom-designed Billy Boat 3″ stainless cat-back exhaust system, Doug Rippie Motorsports (DRM) EPROM ECU chip, removable fiberglass and transparent roof panels, and cruise control. Purchased in 2024 by the current owner, this C4 Corvette ZR-1 is now offered with a “Pizza Box” ownership kit, a window sticker, a build sheet, the owner’s manual, service records, accessories, a car cover, a clean Carfax report, and a Michigan title.

The C4 ZR-1 was sold between 1990 and 1995, and it featured a wider tail compared to the standard C4 Corvette and introduced a convex rear fascia with squared-off taillights. This example is finished in Bright Red (81U) and features pop-up headlights, fog lamps, a removable fiberglass roof panel, a removable transparent roof panel, fender aero-vents, and heated power-adjustable side mirrors.

The ZR-1 was equipped with the three-mode Selective Ride and Handling Package, which was designed in consultation with Lotus and featured Bilstein shock absorbers. Braking is handled by anti-lock disc brakes at all four corners. Staggered-width 17″ sawblade alloy wheels are mounted with 275/40 front and 315/30 rear Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires that were installed in March 2025. The power steering and brake fluids were flushed in October 2024.

The cabin has two power-adjustable sport bucket seats, which are upholstered in red leather and complemented with matching carpets and door panels. Other amenities include cruise control, automatic climate control, an onboard computer, a tire pressure warning system, a Delco Bose Gold Series sound system with CD and cassette players, and power windows and locks.

The leather-wrapped sport steering wheel frames a central digital speedometer and fuel readout flanked by an analog tachometer and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, coolant temperature, and voltage. The digital odometer indicates 25k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership.

The all-aluminum 5.7-liter LT5 DOHC V8 was co-designed by GM and Lotus and built by Mercury Marine. Output was rated at 375 horsepower and 370 lb-ft of torque when new. A fuel injection cleaning service was performed in October 2024. The seller highlights that a Doug Rippie Motorsports (DRM) EPROM ECU chip and a custom-designed 3″ Billy Boat stainless cat-back exhaust system were installed during current ownership.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a ZF six-speed manual transmission, which had its fluid flushed in October 2024.

The window sticker lists factory colors, equipment, and a total vehicle price of $65,583. The “Pizza Box” ownership kit is included in the sale along with a build sheet, a letter from Chevrolet, a car cover, the owner’s manual, accessories, and service records.
