1998 Toyota Chaser Tourer V - SOLD

This 1998 Toyota Chaser Tourer V was modified in Japan before being acquired by its current owner in April 2025 and subsequently brought to the US. Power comes from a turbocharged 2.5-liter 1JZ-GTE paired with a retrofitted five-speed manual transmission, and the body has been fitted with aftermarket panels and refinished in black. It rides on adjustable BC Racing coilovers as well as 17″ Enkei alloy wheels, and the car is further equipped with a GReddy front-mount intercooler, a custom exhaust system, a MOMO steering wheel and shift knob, automatic climate control, and a Kenwood CD/MiniDisc stereo.

The car left the factory finished in Ebony Teal Pearl (6N9) and was repainted black while still in Japan. The fender wheel arches have been cut and fitted with N-Style Secret Service flares, and aftermarket lower body panels have been installed. Further details include a rear spoiler, revised taillights, and twin exhaust outlets

Orange-finished 17″ Enkei PF01 wheels are wrapped in 235/40 Yokohama Advan Fleva tires. The car rides on adjustable BC Racing coilovers, and braking is provided by discs at all four corners.

The right-hand-drive cabin houses front bucket seats trimmed in black cloth upholstery with striped inserts joined by faux woodgrain trim that accents the dashboard and door panels. Appointments include automatic climate control, a Kenwood CD/MiniDisc stereo, LED floor lighting, a TRD-branded shift boot, and a red-finished emergency brake-release button.

The MOMO steering wheel is paired with a color-coordinated shift knob and frames a 180 km/h speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The anti-lock brake system, traction control, and airbag warning lights are illuminated in the cluster. The digital odometer shows 91k kilometers (~57k miles), approximately 1k of which have been added under current ownership.

The turbocharged 2.5L 1JZ-GTE inline-six has been modified with an aftermarket air intake assembly and a GReddy front-mount intercooler. Tenkidom hood support struts have been installed. 

The factory A341E four-speed automatic transmission was removed and replaced with an R154 five-speed manual transmission under previous ownership. The car is equipped with a custom-fabricated cat-back exhaust system
